About us
Cape Advanced Engineering (Pty) Ltd has a rich engineering history as a centre of excellence in engine and fuel technology at Stellenbosch University between 1993 and 1999.
Cape Advanced Engineering (Pty) Ltd was privatised in 1999 and has since provided engine development work and support services to clients such as Volkswagen South Africa (VWSA), Ford and Mercedes Benz as well as equipment development for Transnet and De Beers. In 2007, CAE made a shift to the renewable energy industry and now specialises in the design, build, commissioning, maintenance, and operation of bio-gas plants. Building on CAE's experience in the automotive industry, CAE's bio-gas plants include in-house developed combined heat and power (CHP) units that are modular and containerised.
Cape Advanced Engineering (Pty) Ltd understands the positive impact that bio-gas plants can have on agronomy and therefore also partner with farmers to meet their waste stream management and reliable electricity needs while turning their waste streams into highly valuable bio-fertiliser that improves soil health and therefore yields.
